Introduction In Hebrews 10:24-25 , we are challenged to, “24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching”. Clearly the Biblical teaching is for believers to have the habit of meeting with one another to share, care, spur and encourage one another in the faith. The Objectives of Care And Share Group
Care And Share Group MeetingsMembers of the church are encouraged to join one of the Care and Share Groups which are organized and grouped geographically, for the convenience of members. Each group would comprise about 14 members and is led by a Leader, who is assisted by an Assistant Leader and a Lady Assistant. Meetings are held either on Wednesdays or Fridays, according to the convenience of the groups, on a fortnightly basis. The group meetings will be held in one of the homes of members, and the venues are rotated among members, periodically. The meetings commence at 8.30pm and would normally end by 10.30pm. Members share, connect relationally with one another, study the Word of God and pray together. All care group members are encouraged to invite and reach out to unchurched friends for their respective meetings. As the number of members in the care group increases, birthing of groups will take place. Programs and training sessions will be conducted for leaders and members to fulfill the above-mentioned objectives. Care group leaders will be encouraged to be role models to their group members. Regular monitoring of the progress of leaders and members are conducted. Care group leaders are encouraged to mentor and groom potential leaders. |
